Beats Gives Kendall Jenner Multiple Personalities

Beats Gives Kendall Jenner Multiple Personalities

Kendall Jenner walks into a café wearing workout clothes, clicks a pair of lime-green ear cushions onto her new Beats 360 headphones and realizes something strange: everyone around her is also Kendall Jenner.

One version is making a call. Another is working behind the counter. Another is reading a book titled The Parallel Lives of Us. Even the art on the walls features her. The café itself is called, naturally, Kendalls.

It is a playful setup for Beats’ newest product, the Beats 360, a fitness-focused over-ear headphone built around customization. Its interchangeable ear cushions allow users to change the look of the headphones almost as easily as they might change shoes, a watch or another accessory.

That idea became the premise of the campaign. Rather than casting different people to represent different lifestyles, Beats and Uncommon Creative Studio created multiple versions of Jenner instead. The message is simple: people rarely move through the day as one fixed version of themselves, and the product is designed to move between those versions too.

The film, set to Gary Numan and Tubeway Army’s “Are Friends Electric?,” gives that idea a slightly surreal edge. Jenner moves through a world populated entirely by alternate versions of herself, turning customization into something closer to identity play than a product feature.

For Beats, Jenner also sits comfortably at the intersection of fashion, celebrity and lifestyle. The brand says it views relationships like hers as long-term partnerships rather than conventional endorsements, following the model it has built with figures such as LeBron James.

The campaign arrives as over-ear headphones continue moving beyond home listening and deeper into fashion and fitness. Once largely associated with desks, studios and travel, they are increasingly visible in gyms, on streets and as part of an outfit. That shift gives Beats room to sell 360 as both audio hardware and something closer to a wearable accessory.

The brand had already been seeding that idea months before the official launch. Athletes including Lamine Yamal, LeBron James and Aryna Sabalenka were seen wearing the headphones ahead of the announcement, helping establish the product in sport without relying on a traditional reveal.

That approach is increasingly central to how Beats enters culture. Rather than tightly scripting every appearance, the company sends products to partners and allows them to surface organically. Those early sightings become small pieces of speculation before the paid campaign arrives.

The full launch will run across Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, Reddit, Pinterest, Hulu, Amazon and ESPN, with outdoor placements in Los Angeles, New York, London and Shanghai. The international rollout will also feature additional talent, including Nana Ouyang in China.

For all that scale, the central idea remains unusually compact. Beats could have built a campaign around colors, interchangeable parts or performance. Instead, it turned customization into a question of personality.

If one person can contain several different versions of themselves, apparently they can all be Kendall Jenner.
